Claire’s Army is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization led by the heart of our founder and angel in heaven, Claire Ratliff, who lost her battle to cancer in 2012. Since 2013, we have been providing tangible support to patient families who are receiving care and treatment for childhood cancer at Levine Children’s Hospital and/or Hemby Children’s Hospital.

Position Summary:
Claire’s Army’s Development Coordinator will support all aspects of fundraising efforts to achieve annual revenue goals that ensure sustainability and growth of our impact programs.  The Development Coordinator will report to and work alongside Executive Director, Program Coordinator, Board of Directors, and volunteers.  This position will require in-person work at various locations as well as remote.

Schedule: This position requires 25 hours to be worked in a hybrid role Monday – Friday; includes flexible schedule which vary based on events and meetings. May include occasional evenings/ weekends.

Responsibilities:
Donor Database Management
o   Manage donor stewardship by administering and executing donor acknowledgement processes as well as sponsorship support.
o   Receive and process donations, matching gifts, sponsorship payments, in-kind property donations, and inputs and maintains information in appropriate platforms.
o   Maintain and accurately update donor database platform (Donor Perfect).
o   Create and update reports to analyze fundraising trends and measure effectiveness of existing campaigns.
o   Implement efficiencies and build out processes effortlessly.
o   Balance donor database platform with accounting records of donations received.
o   Maintain integration and data migration between Donor Perfect, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, Claire’s Army website, and event software.
o   Identifies needs-issues and implements solutions to address them.

Fundraising Events
o   Collaborate with volunteer event chair to lead the planning and execution of annual gala, including managing event committee, event volunteers, and post-event wrap up/evaluation.
o   Serve as primary event contact for volunteer event committee, attendees, auction donors, sponsors, and event-day volunteers.
o   Coordinates operations and supports logistics to execute successful events or fundraising activities.
o   Attend and support third-party events from set up through event tear down.

Administrative & Volunteer Support
o   Replies promptly to inquiries from existing and new donors via Claire’s Army website and email.
o   Prepare and organize monthly committee meetings, including but not limited to compiling and distributing agenda, securing meeting space, and ensuring technology needs.
o   Collaborate with Program Coordinator and lead program volunteers to recognize, orient, and communicate opportunities, requirements, and expectations of potential volunteers.
o   Assist Executive Director with researching and writing grant proposals.
o  Ensure files (agendas, minutes, photos, presentations) are organized and appropriately accessible in SharePoint and Donor Perfect.

·      Strong attention to detail, successfully managing deadlines with proper organization and prioritization and seeing projects through from start to finish.
·      Ability to multi-task and maintain quality under pressure.
·      Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, drive, plus willingness to master unfamiliar tasks.
·      Works independently without direction as well as in a team environment.
·      Highly efficient in utilization of Microsoft Office Products and the ability to learn new proprietary systems.
·      Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience:
·      Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
·      Minimum of one to three years’ experience demonstrating ability to successfully perform primary job responsibilities.
·      Valid Driver’s License, with acceptable driving record.
