Lauren Magdefrau

Operations Manager, Claire’s Army

Since March 2020, Lauren Magdefrau has served as Operations Manager for Claire’s Army. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN in 2014. During her college career, Lauren held several internships including working with ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Hospital as a sports marketing intern, which sparked a passion for her to serve the greater good within the nonprofit industry.

After graduation, she worked for the professional soccer team, Memphis 901 FC, as their Operations Coordinator. While there, a former college soccer teammate and close friend was diagnosed with Leukemia and became a patient at St. Jude. It was during her friend’s cancer diagnosis, Lauren was again met with the desire to do more within the nonprofit industry.

Originally from Raleigh, Lauren is excited to be back in North Carolina and moved to Charlotte just in time for the COVID pandemic to hit, but that hasn’t stopped her from running around her new hometown to find the local food scene. She also enjoys reading psychology books to better understand all different perspectives and is thrilled to be working with Claire’s Army to help serve families in need.
