Andrew Griffin

Andrew is the Regional Executive for First Bank in Charlotte. Andrew was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and is a graduate from South Mecklenburg High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business from Wake Forest University. Upon graduation, he began his career in commercial banking with BB&T. After 5 years with BB&T, he decided to go back to Wake Forest University to pursue his Master of Business Administration. After graduating with his MBA in 2000, Andrew was fortunate to spend 8 years in investment banking with First Union Capital Markets/Wachovia Capital Markets specializing in the Technology industry helping to lead IPO’s, advise on domestic and international M&A transactions, and assist companies in raising debt in the public and private markets. After investment Banking, Andrew has worked the last 15 years for several financial institutions in corporate/commercial banking and enjoys working with local businesses on their banking needs.

Andrew enjoys spending time at the lake and boating with his parents and friends, cheering on the Deacs and Panthers, and spending time with his two amazing daughters ages 22 and 18. Andrew has spent many years as a mental health advocate and served on various boards to support that cause. His family has also been affected by cancer with both parents as cancer survivors and unfortunately losing his brother, Lee Griffin, to this horrible disease in 2019. He is passionate about serving kids and their families fighting cancer and he is excited to have the opportunity to work with Claire’s Army in changing people’s lives.
